In 1991, Nespresso introduced a unique collection and recycling system for its aluminium capsules and has been constantly extending and improving it ever since. Today, coffee lovers can hand over their used capsules at more than 2000 collection points throughout Switzerland: Local waste collection centres, Nespresso boutiques and partner shops and regional recycling companies.

To facilitate the collection and transportation of used Nespresso capsules, Nespresso has developed a hermetic and compact recycling container, which holds up to 100 capsules.
