Extended cooperation in aluminium collection
In future, an even stronger partnership for collecting used aluminium capsules is to be established between the IGORA Cooperative for Aluminium Recycling and Nespresso. The aim is to step-up the collection of aluminium coffee capsules in Nespresso’s partner shops, local waste collection centres and in numerous regional recycling companies.

With its dense network of collection centres and successful collection campaigns for aluminium beverage cans, pet food tins and aluminium tubes, the IGORA recycling organization will, in future, support and work alongside the effective collection system for used Nespresso aluminium capsules. Markus Tavernier, General Manager IGORA comments: “Increasing quantities of the four types of aluminium packaging are now being collected and then recycled, thanks to targeted collection campaigns. We are therefore moving ever-closer to our stated objective of separating all empty aluminium packages from ordinary household refuse.”
