In Switzerland – that means millions of people – nobody has to go far to find the nearest aluminium collection point. In almost every one of the 2,600 Swiss municipalities there’s at least one collection point. And there are thousands of collecting bins for aluminium cans in use, most of them near grocery stores, kiosks, railway stations or restaurants.
To find your nearest collection point, first select your canton on the map. On the map of the canton, you’ll then find all municipalities and details of their collection infrastructure.
Or make a direct search for your municipality here – the first few letters are sufficient. A map of the respective canton then opens up as soon as you pick the full name of your municipality from a selection box.
Note: Please do not enter any special characters or umlauts (ä, ö, ü, é, è, etc.). Example: Bülach --> Buelach.
Did you also know that at nearly every collection point aluminium and tin (e.g. tin cans) can be thrown into the same collection bins? This is possible thanks to new techniques for separating these two different materials used at the processing plants.
