‘Fido’ the dog likes it just as much as ‘Blacky’ the cat: pet-food from aluminium containers. For pet owners, pet food in containers has many advantages: meals for their four-legged friends are already divided into portions and can be ready in a trice; what can often be a fight with a tin-opener is avoided; and another thing - thanks to the serving-size portions, pets also get to see some variety on the menu. One day it’s poultry, another day it's liver, then fish, then meat – whatever takes their fancy!

With aluminium containers – and not just those used for pet food – it’s also worth thinking about our environment. Aluminium can be recycled better than practically any other material!


So, there you go! Everyone should be taking not just aluminium cans and tubes to aluminium collection points but also aluminium containers or dishes.

If this is done, hundreds of tons of aluminium can be recycled annually just from aluminium containers. For in Switzerland alone, around 110 million aluminium pet food containers are disposed of every year.

So, please help by doing your bit to ensure that in future Switzerland can expect truly world record results, not only for collecting aluminium beverage cans but also for pet food containers and tubes.
